What Is This Plugin For?
This plug-in is for all Windows® based AIM® Enabled clients such as AIM® 6.x.
What Does It Do?
This plug-in adds features to your IM client that let you modify your IM messages using regular expressions,
shake your IM window (IMpulse) when your buddy sends you an IM with the trigger word,
have complete control over your idle state (Idle Lock), and more.
Features
- Modify IMs using regular expressions
- Define any number of rules (limited only by CPU.)
- Define the order of rules.
- Each rule can be enabled individually and can also be disabled for chat rooms.
- Rules can also be enabled, via enable zones, on a per conversation basis.
- Rules can be applied to incoming and/or outgoing message.
- Rules can ignore case.
- Rules can replace just the first or all (global) matches.
- Rules can skip a match if found inside of an anchor tag.
- Rules can be scoped to the entire markup or just plain-text portions of an IM.
- Replacement expression can specify up to nine back-references.
- Back-references can be inserted in the replacement expression in several encodings and case.
- You can insert your or your buddy's screen name into a replacement expression.
- You can copy a rule to the clipboard and paste it in an HTML editor or IM compose window.
- You can import a rule from a web page or IM.
- Remote Control
- You can grant remote control rights to any number of screen names.
- You can also grant these rights to phone numbers in the format +1AAABBBCCCC where the three letters represent the area code, exchange, and number parts.
- Lets the granted screen names send special commands to change the away and status messages reported by the client and also sign you out.
- Remote commands: (Send these from any of the granted screen names)
- .rc away — Sets the away message of the recipient's client to the text that follows this command. (short: ".rc a")
- .rc status — Sets the status message of the recipient's client to the text that follows this command. (short: ".rc s")
- .rc signout — Signs the recipient's client out. (short: ".rc so")
- .rc offline — Toggles the invisibility mode on the recipient's client out. (short: ".rc o")
- .rc idle — Toggles the idle lock mode on the recipient's client out. (short: ".rc i")
- Translate IMs you send into Leets (1337)
- Send "/leet Your message here" to translate "Your message here" into Leetspeak.
- Send "/leet on" to enable automatic leet translations on a per conversation basis.
Your messages are then automatically translated into Leets so you don't have to prefix it with /leet.
- Send "/leet off" to turn this off.
- Translated messages can be generated using duplicate translations that are randomly selected.
This means that the same message will get translated in many ways.
- You can fully customize the translations.
- Idle Lock—"Get complete control over your idle state."
- New and improved in build 1.0.1.
- Idle Lock works even if you are running multiple AIM clients with this plug-in loaded.
- Lets you immediately appear as idle while you continue to work at your computer.
- Idle Lock can be toggled via a user defined hotkey.
- A user defined initial idle time can be set when activating Idle Lock.
- Optional system tray icon can show you when Idle Lock is active.
- Can be automatically deactivated when you send an IM.
- Idle Lock can also be activated passively allowing you to continue to appear as being idle when you return.
- Idle Commands:
- /idle — Toggles idle lock.
- /idle # — Where # is a number. Sets the current idle time to the number of minutes you entered.
- /idle p — Toggles the passive activation of idle lock for this instance.
- /idle s — Opens the RX-Plugin Settings window on the Idle Lock tab.
- Set your away message from an IM conversation
- Set your away message via "a/away your away message here/" in plain text only.
- You can also set your away message with all font and colors by sending "/away your away message here." or "/a your away message here" from any IM.
- Clear your away message by sending "a//", "/a", or "/away" from any IM window. This message will not be sent to your buddy.
- You can specify the message that is automatically sent to your buddy when you set your away message via this feature.
Note that your buddy will see you typing while you set your away message.
- Set your status message from an IM conversation
- You can set your status message by sending "/status your status message here." or "/s your status message here" from any IM compose window.
- Clear your status message by sending "/s", or "/status". This message will not be sent to your buddy.
- Correct your previous IM message
- Enter "s/wrong/right/" to replace "wrong" with "right".
- Append an i to the above to make the match case insensitive.
- Append a g to the above to make the replace all occurrences of "wrong" with "right".
- An optional prefix message can be inserted in the corrected message.
- The replaced text can also optionally be inserted in bold.
- IMpulse
- Shakes your IM window and plays a sound when you receive one of the trigger words.
- Control who can send you an IMpulse. Anyone, just your buddies, or just the buddies in a specific group.
- Three levels of intensity.
- Custom trigger words.
- Custom sounds.
- Specify the target window.
- IM Trace
- Lets you view the IMs you send and receive in text form.
- Use this to create and debug your own custom rules.
- Logs IM messages at the following points (You can select which ones you want to see):
- Before it is changed by any rule. This is as it is received by the plug-in. Note that it could have been modified by another plug-in.
- After it was changed by all applicable rules. This will only appear if the plug-in made any changes.
- As it is displayed in the IM form.
- You can control the IM Trace window via dot commands (see below).
- Dot Commands—Type them into any IM compose window and press send. These messages will not be sent to your buddy.
- .rx — Opens the RX-Plugin Settings window.
- .rxi — Tells you if your buddy has the RX-Plugin installed.
- .calc — Opens the Windows Calculator.
- .trace — Toggles the IM Trace window (open/close).
- .trace clear — Clears the contents of the IM Trace window.
- .trace top — Makes the IM Trace window top-most.
- .trace show — Brings the IM Trace window to the top of the z-order and removes the top-most state.
Send Calendar Command
- You can now plan an event and "talk dates" by sending a calendar in an IM
- Send /cal [month] [year] to send a calendar of the specific month and year. []'s denote optional arguments.
- Examples:
- /cal — Sends the calendar for the current month and year
- /cal 1 — Sends the calendar for the specified month (January in this example)
- /cal 5 2008 — Sends the calendar for the specified month and year (May 2008 in this example)
- Last Seen
- Shows the current status, time since last seen, last IM received, last eight away messages set, and last 16 status messages set by your buddy.
- Can be displayed in the IM history by sending "/ls" or "/lastseen".
- It can also be displayed and updated automatically in a window by using the People menu in
the IM form or right-clicking on the buddy and selecting "Last seen..."
- The Last Seen window is resizable.
- Drag and drop support for AIM 6. Just drag a buddy from your Buddy List and drop it in the Last Seen window to change shown buddy.

System Requirements
- Windows® XP, Windows® 2K, Windows® XP 64-Bit.
- 128MB RAM (It is highly recommended that you get at least 256MB).
- Can only be used with the U.S. based version of the AIM® Service
- You will need a compatible AIM® application such as AIM® 6.x
- Also works with AIM Pro (AIM Pro does not officially support plugins so YMMV) and AIM ET (AKA AIM Light)
- At least 2 MB of disk space.

Installation Instructions
1. Click on the Download Now button.
2. Exit from all of your IM clients.
3. Run the installer you downloaded in step 1.
4. If you don't already have an activation key, then click on the register for an activation key link.
5. Copy the activation key as described in your e-mail or registration web page.
6. Sign in using your IM client. The key should be automatically pasted into your activation window.
7. Press activate to complete this installation.

- Idle Lock 2.0 — New and improved in this build.
- Got Idle Lock to work when you are running multiple AIM clients with this plug-in loaded.
The first client to load guides the Idle Lock setting and shares the same hotkey.
- Removed auto-response from IMpulse. This is now sent only if your buddy has the RX-Plugin installed.
The auto-response now makes sure both sides of the conversation shake with the same intensity.
- Improved the inline corrections s/wrong/right/. You can now specify the prefix markup and automatically insert the replaced text in bold.

This was resolved by reverting to the original message in cases like this. A message beep will be heard when it occurs.
